OnyxBlu · Lagos

We build software products, and we sign every one of them.

A house with one spine: shared structure, earned expression. Every product inherits the same foundations and keeps its own name, its own mark, and one colour of its own.

The thesis

Most groups either flatten their products or lose them.

Force every product into one shell and each loses the specificity that made it worth building. Let each drift and there is no house left — only a holding company with a logo.

OnyxBlu resolves that with a rule rather than a preference: structure is inherited, expression is earned. The grid, the section line, the type roles, the motion and the neutrals arrive with the house and are not negotiable. The name, the mark and one accent colour belong to the product.

How we build

The brand rules are enforced by the build.

Most identity systems are documents people are asked to remember. Ours is a schema. A product added to this site without an accent colour, or with a fourth typeface where the spine permits three roles, does not render incorrectly — it fails the build.

The same discipline governs what we say. Nothing on this site is claimed that cannot be shown.

Direction of travel

One storey today.

The drawing at the top of this page is a section through a single inhabited storey, because one sector is shipping. As OnyxBlu genuinely enters a sector, a storey is added — never before.

The long-horizon remit spans technology, agriculture, health and construction. Today, technology is where the work is.
